Past BCYA Commodore, Bill Shinn has volunteered again to serve as Principal Race Official. In 2007, he was assisted by Kevin Weber, Karen Lenkey, Tom Cozzens, Michael Lavanis, Alex Schill, Kyle Stump, Kay Kimball, and Bob Sopka most, if not all, of whom are expected to return.
The race committee is responsible for the supervision of the actual race. Duties included establishing the course, starting and finishing the race, adjusting the marks, communication with the competitors about any hazardous conditions on the race course, keeping score, and receiving protests.
